Baumanière 1850 | Courchevel 1850
Luxury Restaurant in Hotel Strato in Courchevel 1850 that has been awarded a Michelin Star.
Taking inspiration from the Mediterranean with a mountain touch, the menu of the one Michelin starred Baumanière 1850 shows its colours. Comfortable armchairs, wonderful ceilings which represent details of a famous painting of the château de Versailles, Baumanière 1850 is in a world of its own within the heart of the Strato. Thomas Prod’homme, under the aegis of Jean-André Charial, chef and owner of the legendary 3 Michelin-starred Provençal restaurant, L’Oustau de Baumanière, took over the helm. With his brigade, he has concocted a menu highlighting the flavours of an authentic cuisine created with the finest local produce.
The Chef Thomas Prod’homme revises simple flavours. As a starter: Savoie swiss chard, thick-cut black truffle and double cream, main dish: Char with celery Vongole, "Massif des Bauges" saffron beurre blanc sauce and for dessert: Savoie pear cooked in honey with Grenoble walnuts, alpine milk, glazed pear & ginger sauce. Without forgetting the selection of delicious cheese selection matured by Bernard Mure-Ravaud, master cheese-maker in Grenoble. True home cooking to be enjoyed with family or friends.
