A Guide to Courchevel 1650

Courchevel Moriond, often reffered to as Courchevel 1650, has seen significant development over the last couple of years and is an excellent alternative to the exclusive Courchevel 1850 for those on a stricter budget. It is also incredibly popular with families and beginners due to the number of green and gentle blue piste that make up the ski area.

Overview

Courchevel 1650 is the resort with something for everyone; great for families and young people alike, and offering something for skiers of all abilities. Its town centre offers everything you could need, from lively bars, to supermarkets, and great restaurants.

One of the resorts best features is that it is on the outskirts of the Three Valley ski area, meaning the slopes are often quieter with less traffic going through.

Skiing in Courchevel 1650

One of the resorts best features is that it is on the outskirts of the Three Valley ski area, meaning the slopes are often quieter with less traffic going through. Along with the resort being surrounded by green and gentle blue pistes, this makes Courchevel 1650 perfect for families and beginners.

Even with its location on the outskirts, the resort still has great access to the slopes, with only two lifts to take you to Courchevel 1850. Not only does Courchevel 1650 have great on-piste skiing, it is also famous for its backcountry skiing, meaning it offers great skiing for all abilities.
