Courchevel Moriond, often reffered to as Courchevel 1650, has seen significant development over the last couple of years and is an excellent alternative to the exclusive Courchevel 1850 for those on a stricter budget. It is also incredibly popular with families and beginners due to the number of green and gentle blue piste that make up the ski area.

Courchevel 1650 is the resort with something for everyone; great for families and young people alike, and offering something for skiers of all abilities. Its town centre offers everything you could need, from lively bars, to supermarkets, and great restaurants.
One of the resorts best features is that it is on the outskirts of the Three Valley ski area, meaning the slopes are often quieter with less traffic going through.

Even with its location on the outskirts, the resort still has great access to the slopes, with only two lifts to take you to Courchevel 1850. Not only does Courchevel 1650 have great on-piste skiing, it is also famous for its backcountry skiing, meaning it offers great skiing for all abilities.

What To Do When Not Skiing in Courchevel 1650
Courchevel 1650 isn't only great for skiing, there is a wide range of other activities to enjoy too. This is an excellent selection of shops, bars and restaurants.
For the non-skiers, just a couple of minutes away on the free resort bus is the new Aquamotion centre, which offers a leisure-complex, with pools, indoor surfing, a spa and great restaurants. There is also a range of other activities including tobogganing, dog sledging and paragliding.
